A project in practice · Ecommerce
From incoming orders
to internal workflows
An ecommerce business needed order information to support the work carried out after checkout. I built a Rails backend that turned incoming data into internal orders and customer records, with workflows for different staff roles.
The application connected those workflows to Shopify customer data, shipping, tax, notifications, delivery routing and order status. It gave the business one system for coordinating the operational work around each order while Shopify remained part of the wider commerce setup.
This is an anonymized client project.

to release
Define the work
I ask about the people using the system, the problem, and the result you need. If the approach is unclear, I can scope a technical review before the build.
Agree on the project
The proposal explains what I’ll build, the cost, timing and responsibilities, and how we’ll check the result. It also identifies any design, content or specialist work needed, and what is outside the scope.
Build, test and hand over
I share work as it progresses so you can review it. I test the important paths and document how the software fits together. We agree on any support after release as part of the project.
